Perten Instruments, Sweden

The Swedish company Perten Instruments was founded in 1962 by Harald Perten.

The company is an expert in quality control of grain, flour, food products and animal feed and offers a wide range of analytical equipment for these industries. The company is actively involved in the work of such industry associations as ICC and AACC.

Perten Instruments has developed world-renowned Falling Number and Gluten Determination methods and has invested heavily in the development of new methods over the years. Since the early 1980s, the company has focused on developing NIR devices. The most advanced and modern instruments in the field are currently offered. The 2007 acquisition of Newport Scientific expanded its product portfolio to offer customers rheological testing and dough characterization instruments.

The company is represented in 100 countries around the world. The main office is located in Stockholm, in some countries there are own representative offices of the company, in particular in the USA, China, Germany, France, Italy, Australia and Argentina, while in others there are local dealers. Official dealers are part of the Perten Instruments team, with some of them the company has been working for over 20 years, such as, for example, with SOK TRADE LLC in Ukraine.
