Tannas Co. was founded in 1981. The main activity is the development and production of innovative laboratory instruments for the oil, chemical, energy and transport industries. Tannas designs and supplies the highest quality equipment for the analysis, research and development of advanced engine oils, lubricants and hydraulic fluids.

Currently Tannas Co. together with King Refrigeration (a manufacturer of low temperature laboratory instruments for routine and research testing of motor oils and lubricants) are subsidiaries of the Savant Group.

The Savant Group also includes:

1. Savant Labs (an independent laboratory and research center specializing in ASTM methods and analysis of engine oils, transmission fluids and other automotive lubricants).
